ABOUT OUR STUDIO
Kripalu Japan wish to support and empower people and our community to be fully alive through the transformative wisdom and practice of yoga.
Our studio is a Yoga Alliance registered studio (RYS), and provides mainly Kripalu Yoga and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy programs.
- All classes are conducted in Japanese. You are suggested to follow the class by observing the teacher and other students.
- Additional 500 yen fee is required in classes led by Toshiro Miura.
- Reservation required only for first visit. Arrive before a class starts.
- The studio is open 30 minutes before class starts.

Slow and mindfull yoga class. Students will deepen practice of each posture with gentle movements to stretch and release tension in muscles and joints.
Practice includes a variety of foundational asanas (standing, seated, and on the floor), longer holding, and pranayama. Provides a good workout and deep restoration.
Students practice physically challenging postures to develop strength and endurance. The class may include vinyasa flow or arm balances to bring your focus inward. Deep relaxation is promising at the end to refill your well.
Restorative yoga uses supportive props and emphasizes “surrendering to gravity” to allow for total relaxation in every pose. This healing yoga style is gentle, calming, and therapeutic, a favorite for those with injuries or high stress, or during major life transitions.

A) Odakyu Line “Shimokitazawa” – North Exit
Turn left after you exit (walking toward MUJI store) and keep walking along the railway track till the street ends (you will come to railway crossing). Turn right, walk away from railway crossing towards Seven Eleven, keep walking till you see hair salon “ASH” on the right, turn right at the corner. You will see the sign “Kripalu Japan” on the 3rd floor window at the end of L-shaped corner.
B) Keio Inokashira Line “Shimokitazawa” – West Exit
Turn right after you exit and come out to the ground level. Walk away from railway crossing and towards Seven Eleven. Keep walking till you see hair salon “ASH” on the right (Village Vanguard Diner on the left), and turn right at the corner. You will see the sign “Kripalu Japan” on the 3rd floor window at the end of L-shaped corner.
